In the product blurb, there’s lots of talk about being compatible with arca but that’s only the top plate. The bottom locking plate is only compatible with the supplied top plate and won’t lock another arca plate. I had hoped it would hold the L bracket for the Canon R8 but although that system has an arca fixing, it either doesn’t connect at all or won’t lock. So be careful if wanting to use this with other systems.However, when used as intended with top and bottom plates, it works well although a little stiff in operation. It doesn’t snap in like some other quick release systems and you have to push the button while attaching the top plate while sliding it in. However it’s pretty solid when connected. Nicely made like most smallrig kit but a little clumsy in operation. I wouldn’t really call it a quick release system at all.
