Normally I do not have time at weddings to set up a slider in order to get super smooth shots, so I have to use the combination of a gimbal and software correction to get smooth cinematic establishing shots. I purchased this Slypod, hoping it would help me quickly get the clips I need without taking too long to set for every single idea I have. This thing delivered on my expectations. I'm sure many of you who are looking at this have already watched youtube videos to see how others are using it, and I can only verify what you have seen: it's amazingly fast to set up and get your clips. The weight:This thing is NOT light. I totally get why this is the case and am happy with the quality of the build, but it is not even remotely "light". If you plan to use a tripod (you really need to in most situations) then you should make sure to take into account the weight of your camera gear and the Slypod, so you don't get too lightweight of a tripod. The battery:This does not have a removable battery. I'm very disappointed by this, but you can just use a USB-C cable and portable cell phone chargers or a v-mount battery with USB ports like a Juicebox. (this is what I do). Not everyone is going to need to charge it during a single day of use, so it just depends on how long you plan to use it in a single day.Complaints:My only "complaint" with this piece of equipment is how loud it is when you use it at its faster settings, so if you need to have the camera moving very quickly while recording a clip, but also silent, then this is not going to help you. It is very very quiet at the slowest speed setting, in fact, the slowest setting is so slow and quiet, that movement is barely perceivable at all, so it's very useful for timelapse sequences.Carries my VR 180 camera horizontally!Just barely getting into photography and video. Have a long way to go figuring out all the details and what the buttons and apps do. This is coming from a total novice and it works as described in the instruction, videos and reviews on YouTube. The only thing where it might be an issue is when shooting video the motor is audible but with some editing not an issue for me. I would recommend this and for the price fits my budget too.I really like the Moza Slypod e. I have rigged it as a permanent attachment to my tripod and gimbal system and it works great. The way I have set it up with my tripod and rage 3 gimbal, It allows me to get standard tripod shots, min jib shots, slider shots, inclining and declining shots, all without having to disassemble anything. My only complaints are the noise. Most of what I shoot doesn’t require sound so not a big deal there, but when I want a moving second camera for interviews it definitely is a bit frustrating. I wish the battery lasted longer, but this can be remedied by connecting a power source which is what I do. I really have loved working with it since I got it. And the last concern is, that I feel that you need a gimbal attached to it. If I didn’t have the gimbal attached I wouldn’t love it so much. You cannot just screw the gimbal onto the threaded screw. I did this right when I received it and it bent the mounting screw because of the weight from my gimbal and camera. I attached a manfrotto base plate to the slider and attached the mounting plate to the bottom of my gimbal handle. Now I can get all my mounted shots, and if I need to use just the gimbal, I just slide it out of the base plate. It Works really well.I have had the Slypod Pro on a couple of shoots now and it has helped greatly. A lot of the time I am shooting by myself and the Slypod Pro helped me get shots that I wouldn't be able to get otherwise. It can be a little loud when running a full speed, but it has a quiet mode for when you are doing interviews. It also acts as a monopod so it doesn't take up much room when traveling. Bought this to use on a TV show in the arctic. I got the unit, charged it up and downloaded the app. The app would crash on my Pixel 6 Pro every time I tried to pair with the device. I got it working on an older Huawei P30 pro. Paired the device, charged everything to 100% and then tried to upgrade the firmware. It failed the firmware upgrade and now the device only turns on a blinks green.I reached out to customer service and said exactly what happened. They then asked me if I had tried to upgrade the firmware, which I clearly had told them when I initially reached out. Nothing was done to fix it and of course I'm now heading up for a 3 week job without a tool that I told my team I would have.Companies like this, that put out junk hardware and buggy software need to realize that when they fail their customers they impact their customers ability to do their job and fulfill contractual obligations with their clients. This company is not reliable. This product is not reliable. I will never buy MOZA again because in reality it seems like they can't even be bothered to read let alone properly support their products. No thank you and good riddance.
